Everybody talks about what needs to be done, but nobody tells you how to do it.

In today's rapidly changing world where everything is fluid and nothing seems to be secure any more you, the small business owner, find yourself in the middle of a paradigm shift where traditional roles and rules no longer apply. Everybody keeps telling you basically the same thing. You should go online and try Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC), E-mail Marketing, Social Media Marketing. Everybody talks about what needs to be done, but nobody tells you how to do it.

Before we go any further, we have to tell you a secret.

 It may not be the case that for YOUR particular business any form of Internet advertising would be a viable solution. It all depends, the type of business you have, the type of products you carry and your market. It is great to have a website and a connecting sophisticated information system, but if nobody searches for your particular product or service on-line, there is no pointH in blowing money on Internet marketing. So you have to do some research first before you can determine what your market would say. You have to do a test run, a pilot program, or an online focus group to make sure your product or service would sell on-line.

One very cost effective way to do this step by step:

If you already have a product or service that you plan to sell on the Internet, there are other ways you can test them before you want to do a full scale roll-out. We will talk about those methods in a different article. We will also talk about press releases and why they are very important in this new 'fluid' world.
